Marie Myers Totally understand those sweating palms. I had my aortic valve and aneurysms repaired 3 years ago. I was totally blindsided by the whole thing. But, having been through it , I have to say it was easier than i thought it would be. Hard to imagine, but true. If you have any questions, ask away. Lots of people have been through this experience, and we can help you feel more confident in facing this hurdle.

Elaine Foster I am 6 years out today from Aortic valve replacement. I agree with Marie, it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. That said, it isn't a walk in the park, but, remember to take it a day at a time and give yourselft time to heal. Adam's book is an excellent resource. And this website he created - Priceless! Thanks Adam!! I was concerned about the tube down my throat, but thankfully I was only awake a little while before they removed it. And I just told myself, before surgery, to be calm, and it was not bad at all. Happy to answer any questions. Be sure and take something button up to the hospital, and don't try to lift your arms over your head for quite awhile. God bless you, and i pray for a successful surgery for you.
