Robert Miller Yes!!! The issue is that you lay a lot and often in the same position. So sore back muscles are a common thing. Give it a month or so and it will improve. Use pillows to support your back and side. You might want to use some hot cherry pillows or something else that is warm.

Robert Miller I never really had pain from my chest. The bones they cut don't have nerves. Only the skin they cut have nerves. But I never really felt pain. Having said that, your situation might be different. Ask for pain meds if it hurts. Also check out the learning center. It addresses many of those issues.

Sharon lovich Hi Debra I found that wearing a well fitting surgical bra that was like a tight fitting vest at all times even to sleep was very helpful in reducing pain from the incision. I also did not have much pain as long as I wore the bra.
