Gary Stripling I was nervous as well since I'm 100% pacemaker dependent & anything electrical or magnetic scares me. But the procedure was painless & quick. My cardioversion was delayed a couple hours, so the anesthesiologist & I joked & talked for hours while waiting. He really eased my tension. The doc finally walked in, checked everything, did the countdown & I was out! Next thing I knew I was being wheeled to recovery. I have no memory of the procedure. Afterwards I was a little sore in my chest. The main thing I complained about was that my back itched like crazy for a few days afterwards from the large conduction pads they put on me. Otherwise, nothing to it!
Patrick Kennedy I have had it done twice. Both were pain free. A little sore afterward.
