I am new at this, Have been diagnosed with aortic stenosis. Had only felt a little light headed which got me to the doctor after 3 weeks, Evidently the situation is serious with only limited activity. See the cardiologist Thursday for talk on heart cath and then the surgery. Just want to get it done and move on. Having my ups and downs over the future but for the most parts feeling positive.

I was so so glad to find this wonderful site, the people here are so supportive, informative and compassionate that they helped me though. We're all here for you. I do recommend Adam's book too.

jane dale Thanks Sophia, I now have heart cath on Monday and Carotid test on Wednesday. Will then meet with surgeon. Glad to get the ball rolling. So far all my tests are good just have a rocky aorta. Glad my primary care doctor caught it.
