Mitral valve repair and weight gain? Hello- I had my mitral valve repaired back in 2012 and since then my weight fluctuated from160-180. The last couple of years it’s been under 170 and my left atrium has not enlarged and my mitral stenosis has went to mild from moderate. Meanwhile, my left atrium was enlarged and my stenosis and regurgitation was moderate at 180. Anyone else with this problem? Thanks

Nancy Takahashi Laura; almost sounds like my story. I had OHS last April for mitral repair. I too was 160 and now 180, I've gone up to 180. I also went from mild to moderate. I wondered myself if it was due to the weight gain.
