OHS on Monday May 6th. Released this morning. Great facility/staff but cannot tell you how good it feels to get outside in the fresh air. Not going lie, the day of surgery and the next day were really rough. Things started to turn around very quickly late Tuesday night. Every day was significant improvement. I look awful (incisions, iv sites, blood draw sites, etc.), but feeling pretty good considering what I went through

Feeling a bit frustrated this weekend. My surgical consult was scheduled for 3/12.  I got a call on Friday from my surgical liaison that my cardiologist's office was unable to send the images from my echos, CAT and cardio cath because their machine that transfers the images to a CD-ROM is broken and they have no idea of when it will be fixed, so the surgeon canceled my consult.  The liaison said she'd elevate the issue to the surgeon, who supposedly works very closely with my cardiologist, so hoping the issue is fixed sooner than later. A lot went into the planning to see the surgeon both logistically since he's 3.5 hours away (time off of work, pet sitter, etc.) and mentally and now I'm back at square one. My cardiologist said I needed to have surgery as soon as possible, although it wasn't an emergency. This isn't an issue of an earthquake/power outage/fire that destroyed the records or office - this is incompetence on the part of staff/IT that just doesn't think it's important enough to fix right away. Rant over!
