I have been having pains in my leg. I have a deep purple vein at my groin on the right side. It either burns or has pains in it almost everyday. I'm conserved because it is the leg that they have done all my catherasations. I've had a ultrasound on my leg and it's not a blood clot. I go to my cardiologist next month and I'm going to show it to him. I hope they can figure out what it may be.

Lilly Black Mandy, my whole right thigh, back and front, was affected by the catheter that inserted into my groin leading to my heart. It took a year by the time I had felt some relief. Above my right knee was the worst...I could hardly touch it, it hurt so bad. But with daily heat compresses, walks, and massages, I am now about 95% cured. I am feeling so much better. I turn 65 in a couple of weeks, and I am fine! I refused to let it defeat me, so I worked hard at it. Let me know if you have questions. Just know, there is hope.

mandy payne Thanks for your comment. It really helps to know that someone else has had the same pains. I'm looking forward to going to the doctor to see what it is. The last time a catheter was in my leg was three years ago, so I'm still not sure if that is what it is. I'm now thinking maybe it's scar tissue. The other bad part is I'm to be having another surgery through my leg really soon. I'm afraid that it may make it worse. Also did yours hurt constantly. It has now became a annoying pain.

Lilly Black No it didn't hurt constantly. Only when I touched my leg or used my leg. But I also remember that at times there were very sharp pains, as if the nerve was trying to come alive again...hard to explain. But today, no more sharp pains and I can actually cross my left leg on to my right leg with no pain or problem. Good luck at your doctor's appointment. I hope you find out what it is. If you wouldn't mind, please let me know the outcome.
mandy payne I will keep you informed. Thanks for all your help.
