Since my echo was borderline between moderate and severe aortic stenosis I talked with my doc a little more. He said that there is a test they can do to help measure the pressure between my heart and lungs which will further help diagnose the severity of my stenosis. It would involve coronary catheterization with right and left side caths. Has anyone else had this done and did this help determine the severity? I would like to hear the pros and cons and what peoples personal experiences are. If they determine that it is severe stenosis, most likely I will be scheduling valve replacement sooner rather than later.
