Hi Adam,
I reviewed your videos on You Tube and found them to be most helpful before and after my surgery..
My ex-girlfriend just sent me this link.
I can definitely relate to some of the comments and description of the writers on how they felt before and after their surgeries.
I underwent a vale replacement surgery for aortic bicupsid stenosis on 2/18/15.
Since that surgery,I have put so much stress on myself to get well again, I have pretty much pushed all of my loved ones away.
In my case, my surgeon recommended a man made vale and ofcourse, that means years of cumidin. I am extremely active, walking, running, lifting weights and exercising constantly. I have always been very active and this new valve makes me feel like I even more stamina then before. I am definitely suffering from anxiety, lack of sleep and a decreased libido. Over the last few days, I have been feeling some little flutters in my heart beat. My cardiologist has indicated that i maybe suffering from PVC. Is this very common with heart valve surgery? I am only taking 10 mgs of blood pressure med. I am scheduled to see my cardiologist this Wednesday to discuss my options. I don't have any shortness of breath and i ran 4.5 miles yesterday with no ill effects. Any comments or suggestions you can provide on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Mpd

mike donlan Hi Mary, funny you mention the pace maker, during my surgery i suffered heart block. Following my surgery, i woke up with a portable pacemaker strapped to my side and i wore that for 6 days. During that time,i spoke with several indivuals including the electro physiologist and my heart surgeon. On my seven day of hospitalization, i had a pace make placed inside me. The following am, i woke up with a normal heart beat.. The doctors were amazed. I continued to wear the pacemaker for the next 60 days and my heart function was terrific. My cardiologist then decided that we could remove the pacemaker. I am going to be very upset if i have to go through that procedure again. Following my pace maker extraction, i developed a terrible infection requiring 4 days of hospitalization. I'll find out tomorrow, seeing my cardiologist.. I hope your doing well Mary and thank you. How are you txing your p v c's?
