Susan Lynn Pat - It's probably safe to say almost all of us experienced anxiety in the weeks before surgery. I called my cardiologist to see if they could prescribe something for me, but I never got a return call or a script. When game day arrives, you'll feel calm and ready to put it behind you. You're going through the most difficult part right now - waiting. You'll be just fine.

Rita Savelis Of course! There is much pre-surgery anxiety. So normal, as you go into something you can't control. There can also be post-surgery anxiety as you accustom yourself to everything that's happening during recovery. It's all normal, but it can be hard. Everyone has a different experience, but heart surgery is a big deal. Wishing you peace in 2024. One day at a time. Allow your body heal at its own pace. Take care.
