Steven Methot  Shocking and sad, and it does hit home.  My phone is going crazy with family and friends commenting.  I think news like this makes our condition real to them.

Kimberly Eisenhut  Yes, I get this too! My family really does not understand the risk and why I am sometimes anxious. I lost my sister when I was 18 years old and she was only 13, to a ruptured aneurysm in brain stem. She was the sweetest, kindest little girl, and just in a coma, on life support and had to let her go after 2 weeks of wishing for a miracle. She is with me every day though, watching over me. I sometimes think maybe my mother and sister just cannot handle the thought of it, so maybe that is why they ignore it and won't talk to me about it. So grateful for this community
My cardioligist mentioned I may want to have my siblings and children tested or do genetic testing to see if it is heredetary. I already had my teenage sons heart checked, but should probably do the genetic test myself. Problem is, it only detects 40% of the time. The science is still coming along, but she said it's worth a try.
Mine has stayed steady for e few years now at 4.1, so hoping it stays same next year also. Blessings to everyone and prayers to those who are still in wait and watch mode as I am

Richard Munson  Mine is also 4.1 but i get it checked every year with ct scan. Pays to be vigilent. One key my doctor says is keeping your blood pressure low

Danielle Elizabeth  So glad everyone here is vigilant in having theirs checked. I remember drawing this to help someone understand an aneurysm and that it took up almost 1/4 of my chest. So sorry about the loss of Wahl to an AA rupture. I’d also like to know the size

Ana Brusso  Grant’s aneurysm was dissecting, not all aneurysms are. He probably didn’t even know he had one because usually you don’t present symptoms. Sad, he was so young. 

Susan Lynn  That was tragic news. As Ana said, he probably didn't have any symptoms.

Kimberly- I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. I can't imagine the magnitude of your grief. Those moments, unfortunately, have such lasting impact on loved ones. You always have us to hear you and to extend a virtual hug whenever you need one.
