Home for 3 days now and it feels so great to be with family. Still adjusting to the strong pumping of my heart. Getting my routine down with all my meds. Pain is minimal so not really needing pain meds. Walking up 16 steps wipes me out so I only do that once a day.
Discharge wound care called for baby wash no scent so that is good to get ahead of time. Lots of bandaids for drainage wound that make still be bleeding. I’ve been sleeping propped up in the couch versus recliner. I’m only 4’10” so recliner is a bigger for me. I recommend viewing how to get in and out of bed after open heart surgery video to prep before surgery so you know what’s it entails and practice. Here’s a good link . Hope this helps some of you 😊.
