Did you get a ortho shoulder consult to determine what exactly is wrong? It could just be muscular, or you might have experienced a positioning injury to your shoulder. I had lots of upper neck and back aches early in my recovery, which is attributable to positioning for surgery. If it persists, it might be wise to get an ortho consult.

Ana/Rose/Marie thank you all for your comments. It has been three years since my surgery. I notice that if I lift or use my arms a lot it triggers the pain. Sometimes even walking fast or when I use my roller bag through the airport. Mostly in my shoulder blade area. I have been checked up side and down and no doctor at the Mayo Clinic can find anything wrong. They even went back and checked my heart to make sure they didn't miss anything. When it gets really bad, the heating pad really helps. It is definitely a pain I did not have before my surgery. I am a bit reassured that others have experienced this. But now I am wondering for how long? Thank you again.

Physio didn't really help mine either. I found a great massage therapist, that helps it a lot. She does cup therapy on it and works out the knots. Then it's good for awhile. I have also had a chiropractor help it too. What really helped my body pains, though, was to start a daily workout and extensive stretching routine. Like get it all moving...lol. Just walking didn't cut it. But house renos Did NOT help it...lol
