7 years ago I had a mitral valve repair with a ring inserted. There were problems getting my heart started again, had 5 shocks. I was kept tubed for 3 days, very cyanotic. To step down unit after 5 days, then home on the 11th day. Very weak. Gradually my ef worked its way up to 52, down to 40 and started Entresto. Up to 45, now down to 35.4. The echo showed pannus(fat) on the ring causing mild mitral stenosis and moderate mitral regurgitation. Also moderate tricuspid regurgitation. This happens to 20% of mitral repairs with a ring. Has anyone had stenosis occur in the ring and if so, how did you progress? I will see my Cardiologist in Nov. I saw him the day of the echo, but it hadn't been read yet. Has anyone on Entresto had initial improvement and then ef down 9.6 ?
