Hi Brian,
Yes, you will be back on stage in July for your rehearsals of the show. Will you be Jazzercising or playing baseball? Maybe not for a year because that's how long it may take for your heart and breastbone to fully heal but your new normal will eventually be the same as your current normal but better because you will be healed. BTW, I saw the original Broadway production of Sweeny Todd with Angela Lansbury.

Hi Brian , I’m new to the group! I’m a young active 75 yrs old! and was diagnosed with a heart murmur and very mild Mitral Valve prolapse approximately 25 years ago. Suddenly my MVR went from mild to severe and I’m scheduled for surgery on April 10th at Cleveland Clinic. I’m actually pretty fearless, I had a full knee replacement and 3 months later I was traveling through Thailand! Like you I wonder how long it will take to recover, will I be able to be as active as I was? From what other patients have posted , the answer is yes. A fellow member just sent me a post saying this surgery is a marathon not a sprint. Let’s stay positive and do this👍
