Christopher T So far good, pain has went down a lot over the last couple weeks. Primary thing I notice is fatigue throughout the day. I am waiting to see my local cardiologist for a followup, curious what they will say about my progress. Dr Gillinov is a very skilled surgeon, I thought he was personable. He speaks very confidently. The anesthesiologist told me dr Gillinov does 4 surgeries some days. Cleveland clinic runs like a well oiled machine. I got blood work, ct, ekg, echo done in 1h45m. I was in icu 1 night, step down 3 nights. For heart work I don’t think you can go wrong.

Maria DeMarco Hi Christopher! Glad to hear you are doing well. I’m also glad to hear that you were satisfied with your doctor as I will be using him as well for my robotic mitral valve repair. Did you have a robotic procedure? Also, any other insight you could provide about your experience with Dr. Gillinov and the Cleveland clinic would be fantastic. Thank you!

Christopher T Thank you, everything appears to be 'normal' as can be post surgery. I have my follow up here at Cleveland Clinic in 3 days then I get to go home. I've been extremely happy with Dr Gillinov and Cleveland Clinic. I plan to post a lengthy writeup about my experience here when I get a chance. Hopefully it will help others as others have helped me here.
