Interesting note about venous insufficiency and edema. My left ankle would swell up randomly. One doctor told me it was because I was fat. The cardiologist told me it was heart-related. I was looking forward to having symmetrical skinny ankles again after surgery, but it never happened. Finally got a referral to a vein specialist, diagnosed with venous insufficiency. I had the procedure where he cauterized the problem vein. My ankles aren't skinny (neither am I, anymore) but they are symmetrical. Doctor blamed years of tucking my left leg under me for hours on end. Anyway, sounds like you're feeling better. We each have our own journey to make.
