I am so happy to see someone that has had the surgery at Northwestern with Dr Malaisrie. My cardiac specialist, Dr. Rigolin is with Northwestern and I am in wait and watch mode for my Moderate to severe Tricuspid regurgitation as well as mild mitral valve and aortic anuerysm of 4.1. I did speak with Dr. Malaisrie last year to see what his thoughts were about my case, and he said I would be a good candidate for minimally invasive, but he said to wait until I have more symptoms. It is hard to just sit waiting when it is all I think about almost every day. I hope to get this repaired sooner rather than later, but guess I just have to trust in the Drs and when time is right, they will let me know.

Good luck with your surgery next week.  I love your optimism.  you'll be back to running up 103 flights of stairs (takes my breath away thinking about it) in no time.  I have family in Evanston, my mom grew up in Glencoe, and I always loved going to visit.  The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago is one of my favorite places on earth.  Ill be praying for a speedy recovery next week!
