Hi Jim, welcome. I have the same Bentall surgery in November of 2019. My surgeon was Dr. Vaughn Starnes at USC. “Yeah LA”! I have had my ups and downs but still here. I don’t give it much thought to have these foreign parts in my body. I’m grateful that the surgery was successful and also for you too. I haven’t have your same symptoms but I’m sure some of our heart warriors would have answers for you. God bless you and continued recovery

Jim Archer Ana, I started to post the whole story, so you should see it in your news feed. It seems that the first two to three months is a rapid recovery, then from then on it is two steps forward and one step back, but always moving forward. Walking an flat surface is easy, I can go for miles, but add a bit of slope and I get short winded. Then there are the stairs. It is odd, some days the stairs are easy, other days not so. Occasionally my BP drops, then I get light headed going from sitting to standing, but only for a minute or two. The sternum still squawks at me on occasion, but with less frequency. I am getting close to my physical condition of two years ago, before all this started.
