Kristin, I am so happy to have had the opportunity to discuss with John the ups and downs of surgery. I will be thinking of you both tomorrow. What a bonus to be eligible for the Ross procedure, as I have heard nothing but great things. I will make sure to send work emails to John to make sure you are doing well and to see if I can assist in any way. You got this!!!!

Kristen - I will praying Monday morning for you. I look forward to seeing your progress. I would love to hear your story as well. Ross procedure patients are few and far between and the candidate history and reasons for wanting the Ross are intriguing to me. As for the surgery, you will do great! Recovery isn't bad. Take the first two weeks in stride, good with the bad. Can't wait to see your first post op journal entry! All the best, BL

You will do well, and you have already done your home work, assembled a great team and a great place for your procedure! Your age is in your favor, and your fighting spirit will serve you well. Hello Kristin- I just read your story and I am happy to read you are a candidate for the Ross procedure. I also want to mention to you (again) that the anxiety is just a part of the wait once that "date" has been set and I think sometimes is more excitement to move forward and get it over with! You are young, have a great choice of procedures and I read in between the lines a woman with a courageous spirit who has a lot to live for and lots of plans yet to make in this life with the people who love her and will be there every step of the way. Cheryl Batzing Kristin--I just posted to your guestbook. I had surgery with Dr Ryan in December. I think the 7:30 am is perfect! I had 2 pm and I do not recommend it! My husband was a huge support to me before, during, and after recovery. If you'd like to chat let me know! Blessings.
