Michelle & Jennifer, I have your same diagnosis and I am pretty much asymtomatic. Both my cardiologists thought I could go another 12 months to 24. Then one of them ordered a Treadmill w/Ultra Sound test and that’s when he said, “Looks like we need to take care of this, soon”. The test revealed what I did not notice. Tuesday I have a Cath done and if I get a good report, I will be able to have minimally invasive open heart vs full sternotomy. That is my prayer. Either way my surgery is scheduled for Jan 8th. If you have not had a TEE test and the Treadmill/Ultra Sound, I would ask about them. Good luck to us all....My hope is in God and the skill He has given my surgeon.

Jennifer McInerney Sending prayers your way for a successful surgery and speedy uncomplicated recovery. I have had a treadmill/ultrasound and apparently it was ok. I haven't had a TEE yet but I'm sure my time will come. I see my Cardiologist in a few months again. Keep me posted as best you can. I will be thinking of you. Stay strong!

Michelle E Sue I don't get a chance to check in very often - I just now see your post. I hope all went smooth and uneventfully during your surgery and that you are home and on your way to a full recovery! Good for you that you did not have to have the sternotomy - did you have a TAVR? That should shortened the healing time and get you back on your feet sooner rather than later. Best wishes to you!

Hi Michelle, im in the same boat. I have been having all kinds of blood pressure issues recently. For 30 years I had high blood pressure, recently I developed low blood pressure. Cardiologist took me off blood pressure meds. I feel okay but its unsettling. I have asymptomatic aortic stenosis. Its frustrating being in this waiting game knowing that surgery is inevitable. I see Cardiologist again in December or sooner if I develop symptoms. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat. Stay strong - Jen

Jennifer thank you for your input. Yes I look in the mirror and see an otherwise healthy woman looking back, but my heart tells a different story. It is a waiting game like you said. Is sooner better than later or do we just trust the doctors to know when to move forward with surgery? I will keep a good thought for you and say a little prayer that your December appointment goes well and gives you the information you need. Michelle
