Franklin Wyrick Nathan, I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve too and lived a very active life. At 66 I was told that it was time to fix it. I had OHS last june 2nd. I also had an aortic aneurysm that was fixed at the same time. I had a bovine tissue valve and all is well now four months later. I'm pretty much back to the same active life style I before and feel great. I'm sure you will do great also. Good luck.

Hi Nathan, I am having my surgery on 27th as well. As I'm in Western Australia I'll get mine done just before you. Good luck to us both. I'm 76 so may take a bit longer to recuperate as you are only a youngster. I'm sure we will be fine but I will be thinking of you as I lie in bed feeling sorry for myself. This time next month we should be feeling almost human again! :-)

Nathan Howard Lynne, good luck and blessings as well. I've been keeping busy and trying to block it out but time moves fast. I've always known I'd have to have this done and the pre-op this week made it real. I'm not feeling sorry for myself, everyone has burdens in life and I've always known this is mine. I have put this in Gods hands. Romans 5:3-5.
