Janette Rehua Oh how are you feeling about that? They did tell me too that sometimes you can get scooted down the list if there are emergencies ....or nurses strikes ;) Im still praying as I do for all getting close to surgery.....mine isnt till Sept 2nd but I have a niggly feeling it will come around sooner than Id like!

Best fortunes for your upcoming surgery Paula. It seems like you have an excellent attitude towards it. I had my aortic valve replaced about 1 1/2 years ago. Sure its a big deal, but the success rate for this surgery is astoundingly high. Everything is so much better than before the surgery. I have come to regard the surgery as a true gift and am very grateful to the surgeon and his team, all of whom were excellent. I can go out and all kinds of "normal" things every day. Although I was pretty anxious about things, in the end I just turned myself over to the surgeon and his team, realizing that they really knew what they were doing. Again, best wished for a successful surgery and for the fine life that will result from it.
