Debra Keife Hi Peter. I'm not sure if you've had a chance to see my update. You were asking about the less invasive surgery. I will be going in on Tuesday to have a partial sternotomy to replace my bad aortic valve with a bovine valve, no need for life of blood thinners, and repair the aneurysm. I will need a CT scan every year to make sure it has not grown. I will have less worry, though. It gets easier and less stressful the closer you get to surgery, really. What are your plans?

Peter Linn Hi Debra, thanks. I will be thinking about you on Wednesday. I don’t know my own plan yet, going for third opinion at Mass General later in July. I will definitely be asking about your procedure. My own valve is actually fine so maybe there is some logic to the sheath method. Most importantly I wish you all the best on Wednesday!!!
