Rebecca DeMarino Sommer - I just got home from the hospital yesterday. I was in ICU for 6 days, came home day 11 post op. I’m not sure how many liters of fluid they gave me, but in ICU they gave me 5 liters (or bags) within a 24 hour period. My blood pressure kept dropping. I don’t really remember much of day 1 post op - or two for that matter. Day 7 and 8 I had two episodes of AFIB, but I’m out now and on ammio to help prevent another episode. So, it’s been a slow first several days, but feeling so much better and glad to be home. So is hubby, he stayed with me the whole time! Not really too much pain, but yes - fatigue!! How did your surgery go? Are you nice and comfy at home, too? I hope so and praying we both continue on this path to health❤️

Sommer Russell I’ve recently started with the Afib RVR. I’m going to be going home on amiodorone, cardizem, and lopressor. Hopefully not forever, but to get past making my heart irritable with the fluid that collected around it.
My husband had been amazing through out all of this. These chest tubes hurt so bad and he would just massage my hair trying to get me to relax. I will never Ever be able to show him what he has shown to me over these past few weeks.
