Ryan - your emotions pre-surgery are totally understandable. Trust in your surgeon, and yourself. On May 15th I had open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve (severe stenosis), and double bypass surgery (80% blockages in left descending artery/adjacent branch ). It all seemed overwhelming at the time. It may seem slow at first but you will get better as each day passes. Five weeks out and I am feeling much better. Take care
