Hi Ryan, thank you for the update. The risk is now over, thank goodness. Just take it one day at a time. Your mom will get stronger and she will bounce back to the way she was; actually she will be even better! Please be patient. It takes a while. Both of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Guys! My mom is slowly but surely recovering. She is still in the Cardio Vascular ICU at Methodist. Her heart hasn’t gotten as strong as they had hoped it would be by now. Until that changes she will remain on a pacemaker and in ICU. She has oxygen tubes to assist with her breathing. Her strength is very minimal right now so she has been sleeping quite a bit. Unfortunately, she is in a lot of pain and there is only so much they can do to help with that. At this point she can only really whisper when she tries to talk. She is determined to bounce back and has been trying her hardest. Our family is so grateful for all of your prayers!! It will take a little time but she won’t let any dust settle around her! I couldn’t be more proud of my mother for being so courageous and strong.

I’m just seeing this in Japan and just heard from Bev that the surgery went well. You’ve been covered in prayers and, as always, God is good! Can’t wait to see you Jean

Dear Sharon, I am praying for God to calm your nerves and to give you strength and courage. I am also praying for your entire surgical team. God will be with you. You are in the world’s best medical center. Take comfort in that and the fact that you have so many people praying for you. God bless you! Lauren Brindley

Hi Sharon, -You will be in my thoughts and prayers. A heart surgery diagnosis is a shock to the body and the mind. Wanting to bail out is a normal reaction. But whatever you do, do not bail out. Just remember, when you wake up, the risk will be over. And think of wonderful things, like exploring the world and going back to Croatia!
