Hi Thomas:

How is your recovery going at this point. I also want the Ross, but the skill needed for that, is such a specialized field. Plus i havn't talked to my surgeon yet. With my insurance, i don't have much of a choice on surgeon or hospital. If they mess up, its not just one valve, it two valves that could be damaged. I'm assuming the recovery is longer also. Give me a update, if you have any extra time.

Best wishes Thomas for your Ross Procedure surgery next week. I had a Ross Procedure in July of this year and I have been super happy with the results. I encountered some post-surgery A-Fib issues, which are common for heart valve surgery patients, but the A-Fib disappeared and I'm back to regular running exercise, on a treadmill in a cardiac rehab program and trail running on days when I'm not at the cardiac rehab center.

We live close to you, about 20 mins apart. My husband is similar in age at 47. We just learned he needs aortic root replacement and valve replacement. Our doctor is suggesting mechanical. We are in research mode at the moment. I wish you the best and speedy recovery!
