Civita Fahey  welcome Lillian.. this is a great site for information and a lot of comfort from others who are going through the same thing as you are.. its hard to finally get the "its time".. we have all gone through the fear and anxiety.. I'm scheduled for an AVR in 8 weeks and its not been easy . I try to forget it as much as possible but, its like an albatross. Just reading all the successful stories here makes me feel so much better and knowing that its not going to be easy but It can and will be done.. I hope you get your surgery date soon and prayers to you. .ask any question I cant give you any info on the actual surgery yet, but I can definitely sympathize with the distress you are going through.

  Welcome Lillian , I am quite familiar with Lake Wales and Winterhaven. I grew up in Brandon FL. This site is really helpful for any questions you can think of. Lillian Taylor  Yes I am finding that this site will be my best friend. I get so anxious and nervous and hate to talk to my family all the time about just how anxious I am. I know everything will go ok, I have peace about that, but still it doesn't stop me from worrying about surgery and the hospital bills and the recovery. I am recently divorced this past September so I am alone, but have family near by. I know my sisters are already planning to stay with me after the surgery for a few weeks. I have always been told all my life what a great heart I have, but I am finding out that is not the case, lol. I have really bad allergies where I cough and sneeze alot, I am so nervous how that is going to go after my surgery, I hear it is very painful to cough and sneeze. Does anyone know if there is an APP for your phone for this site?

  Not sure about the APP. Glad you have family nearby to help you out during your recovery. You'll be fine sneezing just keep your pillow handy, squeeze tight and elbows against your side....still probably hurts like hell but supposed to help. We shall see soon enough. Yeah I feel more worried for what my loved ones will go through as they await the results of my OHS. I think this brings me the most anxiety of all. I have faith in my Surgeon and his team. Faith in God and I just hope I can play the role I have to play in all this and hold up my end of the bargain. Lisa Giaccone  Hi Lillian! My mom just had AVR and CABG x 2 Wednesday. Her valve was .7 and severely calcified. Pathology came back that it was bicuspid also. She was a nervous wreck and she got through it. U will too! You are blessed to know you have an issue. Heart problems are silent until u have an event! God Bless on your journey!
