This photo was 2 days after my aortic valve was replaced in OHS. Though all my wires are still dangling, I’m toasting the world - feeling great. This was two and a half years ago and my piggy valve is ticking right along.

This is day 3 after my aortic valve replacement. I was discharged the next day to the loving care of family.

Beth Saunders You look wonderful, Margo! I had some fluid buildup after my surgery and looked like someone had pumped me up with a bike pump on day 3- but was able to get all the fluid drained out and go home by day 6. Hope your recovery at home continues as well! I am now 3 weeks post op and feeling stronger every day. I grew up in Atlanta and know Emory is a great hospital!

Bill Walsh Not much you can do now but follow instructions, trust the doctors and the many team players who will be on your case. Anxiety is normal but I pray God guides your surgeons hands and that you pull through quickly! I am two weeks Post Surgery and feeling pretty good. Bear down and know you will be well cared for!
