Richard Munson  Aww, how cute. Your tree is up already? Sounds like my wife who just put up the village and has begun xmas carols non stop till i am ready to scream. Looks like we have started the heart valve kennel club. I love it, dogs rock.

Mary VanSlyke  Lol. I put my tree up just before Thanksgiving!!! I completely understand your wife Richard. I also do decorative cookies, outside of working full time, so I am really busy during the Christmas season. This pup is going to be so good for me. He planned this before I even knew about my heart, which had been stable for 5 years. She will be holding a bedside vigil for me , I am sure, 😆 boxers have that way about them

Richard Munson  Agreed, except by the time xmas arrives i am so tired of carols. Bah humbug. Cassie moped around the house until i got home then stuck to me like glue and when my wife said enough, she got a little grumble. My favorite xmas song might be “ little saint nick “ beach boys, and i am going to see them in concert december 31 at mohegan sun in ct. good luck with winnie, she looks like a winner. Rhyme?

Mary VanSlyke  😄 it's so nice to have something like that to look forward to. I have a 2nd dog named King and I am so worried about him while I am in fir surgery. He won't eat unless it's me that feeds me. Doesn't eat for my husband.

Richard Munson  The one good thing about dogs is that food is a huge motivator. Never had one starve. When they get hungry enough, they will eat. Once we had 2 dogs ( never again ), and nikita died. Tasha went into mourning and did not eat for 2 days but finally the urge was too great. I say never again because the competition between them was intense and walking 2 siberian huskies on leash was trying to say the least. And i am a dog lover as you might guess. Cassie will be 10 in a few weeks and normally acts much younger which i am thankful for. But i am also aware that the big dog lifespan can be shorter so i try and spend as much time with her as possible. I saw a couple of over 10 goldens at the vet yesterday and it was heartbreaking to watch them struggle. I had a sinking feeling that one of them was not going home. Good luck with your boxers. They are a great breed.

Mary VanSlyke  Thanks Richard. I hope Cassie continues to improve and has some good days ahead of her. I am not convinced right now that 2 dogs is the best thing, but things are looking up.
