A strange sinus pain prompted my wife to insist on an evening visit to the Walgreens clinic where the nurse made an off-hand comment, "Bit of a heart murmur huh?"
"No, no one has ever told me that I have a heart murmur."
She listened again and said, "Well, you do now."
My primary doctor confirmed the same a few days later, sent me to a cardiologists . . . Six months later, robotic mitral valve repair.
It’s 2023 now and I’m doing great. Have logged several grueling cross country mountain bike races and all the training that goes into that.
