About Me (In My Own Words)
My four year anniversary of my surgery is coming up......
Back in December 2012, I was walking from my car to my gym and was becoming out of breath. After an angiogram I found out I needed an aortic valve replacement. At first I decided I would have this done at The Cleveland Clinic, but working for a health organization I had access to the names of the finest doctors...and then realized my doctor was easily available through the internet. That's how I found Dr. Adams at Mount Sinai in NYC. After meeting with him for two hours, my stress level decreased significantly. I was in the hospital for five days. Dr. Adams, Dr. William Schwartz (my cardiologist) and the staff at Mount Sinai were all absolutely incredible. After the surgery I was back to work in four weeks and back to the gym as well...and this time, not out of breath. Dr. Adams was incredible. He and his staff saved my life.
