About Me (In My Own Words)
I always was told I had a heart murmur. They started watching my heart closely around 2003. In 2006 I was told I had a damaged heart valve that they were watching me for. They explained that the valve would get worse as the years' progress. Two years ago they did an echocardiogram and told me they would be doing this every year because I was getting close. A month ago I had one done and after that starting having some issues with my heart. They did another echo with contrast and decided I was ready for a heart catheterization. I will be having that on November 27th. From there we discuss surgery and everything else. Well, I had my Catheterization and it was discovered I also need a double bypass as well as the valve replacement. I am set to go on December 18th at the Boston VA Hospital. Honestly, I do not worry about the operation, I worry more about not being able to do all I do for my family. I have strong faith in God and know He will guide my surgeon's hands.
