About Me (In My Own Words)
I'm a healthy 51yr male with no symptoms but have known about this leak in my Mitral Valve for 4 years, now after an Angiogram on 9/20/18 I'm being told I need surgery in the next month or so, needless to say I'm devastated. I'm having feelings like never before and having a very difficult time, why am I the only one thats thinks this is a big deal? My family is acting like I'm going to the dentist or or having my tonsils out, I'm not asking for sympathy but maybe some empathy. Would like to get with someone advise from someone who has had maybe felt this way and had this done and REALLY knows. I'm a pretty tough guy, ride motorcycles, shoot guns, work in construction, but in the last 5 days, for lack of better words, turned into a little girl.
