My family doctor heard a murmur and scheduled an echo. Results were unfavorable so I was referred to cardiologist. CT and TEE confirmed BAV and aneurysm. Was referred to the Mayo Clinic for further test and consult. Diagnosed with serious aortic stenosis regurgitation. Was told that I could wait, but there was little reason. My aneurism was 4.8. Surgeon suspected in 6 months I would be at 5cm and ready. Wife and I and surgeon discussed it and have scheduled surgery for June 2 with Dr. Pochettino at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
