About Me (In My Own Words)
I'm a long-term cancer survivor -- was treated for Hodgkin lymphoma in 1979-80 with radiation and chemo -- and now have valve disease as a result of my mantle radiation. I live in the Boston area and I'm planning to have minimally invasive (endoscopic) mitral valve replacement surgery over the next few months. (Will address aortic valve damage in the future.) I'm interested in connecting with others who have had (or are considering) similar endoscopic cardiac surgery!
