About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve 30 years ago. Have echos regularly and now going every 6 months. My next one is Sep 15 and the results will determine next steps. The valve opening is getting smaller but fortunately I have been symptom free...I have had a heart catheter done and my cardiologist is happy with everything except for the valve.
Update: turns out I also have an aortic anuerysm...my CT surgeon said he was more worried about that than the valve. CT scan is done and surgery is scheduled for 29 Jun. Was hoping for minimally invasive...surgeon would if it was only the valve but with the aorta it's gonna be OHS.
