Hi Michael! Thank you for sharing your status.
I am right behind you with a similar diagnosis, BAV with stenosis. Also have an aorta aneurysm at 4.3cm.
Do you know how big yours is?
I'm anticipating OHS sometime this summer. I don't know if they will do only the valve replacement or the aorta aneurysm too. My cardiologist is saying that they might not do the aorta because it is most likely caused by the valve and would stabilize once the valve has been replaced. My worry is...what if he's wrong?
I wish you the best and envy that you will soon be able to resolve and move on with life.
John

Marie Myers Yes, I can relate to your questions.I had a bicuspid AV that bought me every 4-5 year echos, until August 2016, when an ascending aortic aneurysm was found. Mine was 4.8 cm, but I am a petite person, so I had surgery. I understand that sometimes the Aorta is Wrapped along with the aortic valve repair/replacement to (hopefully) prevent future aneurysmal enlargement. That is why a couple opinions are so Important, because the field is always evolving. Anyway, wishing all the best to you both, John and Michael!
John Errico Thank you, Marie. Best to you as well!

Agree with our Marie, get a second or third opinion, this way you will know for sure what to expect. My aortic valve was replaced and my aneurysm repaired at the same time. Marie and I shared the same surgery. Wishing you both my best
Rose Madura Ditto Marie and Ana! My aneurysm was 5.2 I believe.
Edna Abellera Good luck in your surgery, Michael. Sending prayers and good wishes.
