About Me (In My Own Words)
Ten months ago, we moved back to the U.S. after decades in S.E. Asia, and last February, I finally got around to selecting a primary care doctor. During my new patient physical, the doctor heard a murmur with her stethoscope and several tests later, I was scheduled for aortic valve replacement surgery on 16 March – merely 4 weeks from stethoscope to surgery!
My surgery went very well, outcome was ideal, and recuperation has been far easier than I imagined. I developed atrial flutter post-op and had an ablation done to zap it.
My story is that I am lucky. Lucky to have a great primary care doctor and heart surgeon.
