Greg Johnson Have you thought of getting another surgeons opinion of the valve function? My bicuspid valve went from " no surgery for five or more years" in January 2015 to surgery required now in March of 2015. Once they are there for the aneurysm repair the valve is right there. I don't know any details of your case but I would want to be sure I didn't need another surgery to repair the BAV anytime soon.

Jennifer Anderson That's great news Carmen. I was told my valve needed to be replaced but then went to the Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion, they told me that my bicuspid aortic valve was functioning well also and just did some minor stitching/repair work while they were in there fixing the aneurysm. It's been two months since my surgery and all is well! I know my valve will one day need replacing but for right now, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! :D

Carmen Burns Surgery all done two weeks ago now and surgeon said my valve looked great and only has very trivial regurgitation. Aneurysm is fixed and surgeon said my valve will last longer than anything he could put in me. He thinks by the time anything needs done it will be less invasive than ohs.
Jennifer Anderson So glad everything went well, hope your recovery is going smoothly!

I am meeting with a surgeon for the first time today. Excited and nervous. I will be getting his opinion on my 4.7 ascending aortic aneurysm. I want to hear his views on Ross Procedure. I want to hear his views on different valve and repair options.
I read about someone on here who had the Ross Procedure and also had aneurysm repair. I would love to here your experiences.
