It is a badge of courage and strength to take the steps to better health! It might cause stares, but it might give someone who is facing the surgery to have the strength and courage because you inspired them!! Take good care!!

Clare Auten I am sorry you feel bad about your scar. Mine is still red and raised. before surgery 95% of my wardrobe was v neck shirts. I decided that unless I was buying a new wardrobe, I would have to deal with it. I teach in an elementary school. The kids have tons of questions. Some ask every day but I think it has helped me accept my scar.

Wiliam Height I thought we were all having anxiety pre-surgery? If you're postoperative and fixed, get comfortable with it and exhale. One thing here I've found is all our scars are perfect and yours looks as it was intended. If anything now you know what it feels like to be a woman. And in honor of International Women's Day, March 8, I would like to salute all the women here and around the world who brave and bear their beautiful scars. I still would rather have open heart surgery than give birth.
