I am home! so good to be in my home with family and friends. My surgery for mitral valve repair ending up in a replacement. So I got a three for one deal: replaced mitral valve with a bovine value, repair of my tri -cuspid and a MAZE.

Melissa Houser Janet, I am having the same trouble you are. I have so much to do but am realizing I'm not going to have the time to get it all done before surgery. We both are going to have to prioritize what is absolutely necessary to get done beforehand. BTW, we are both on the schedule for next Tues May 23. I am originally from MI, went to undergrad at U-M, and lived in the Detroit area for 7 years during medical school at Wayne State and then during my pediatric training at Children's Hospital of MI. Prayers for excellent surgical outcomes and quick recoveries for us Michiganders :)

Just passed the two week date on Friday till my surgery- seems like the time is flying. I feel good and some moments doubt that there is anything wrong! Crazy thinking but it does seem strange to feel fine and be scheduled for major surgery. I will have two valves that will be repaired and finding it hard to believe,
