Greetings all. Today is 9 mos. since MV Repair w/ Dr. Girardi @ NY Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.
Dr. G and team did a great job, my 6 mo. echo shows no leakage. Feel great, back to full exercise routine for 62 yr old male. Only hiccup is non-symptomatic atrial flutter (not AFIB) which my cardiologist and I are monitoring w/ medication. May consider right atrium ablation @ some point. Has anyone else dealt w/ this post surgery?
Pre-surgery my cardiologist & I decided on OHS and I then interviewed 3 of the best who performed hundreds of valve repair/replacement each year. Grateful to find Dr. Girardi.
Kind regards to all my fellow patients, thanks, John D.

John Deysher Thanks Kathy, am grateful for your comments. Good luck, John D.

Wanda Mroz Mitral valve repair but not in NY. Welcome
David Adams and Allan Stewart at Mount Sinai were tops on my list. I went to Cleveland Clinic due to proximity. I had narrowed hospitals to Mayo, Cleveland Clinic and Mount Sinai.
You should be able to find patients here who have had these physicians make repairs.
