Hi everyone I'm 2 year's post op for aortic valve replacement and aneurysm repair. I had my 2 year echo last week valve and all looks great but i notice on the bottom of the report it says mildly dilated inferior vena cava? Has anyone heard or had this? I am very active, doing alot of running and exercise. I'm due follow up with my consultant next week but just curious. Thanks

Tracy Fallu I’m not sure about your report! I just wanted to say congrats on 2 years and being active/running.
I had s great run this am, as always happens, I thought to myself how many times during the come back I thought I’d never have the endurance to run again.

Kathleen Moore Hi Tracey met with my consultant today and he said my echo was excellent and explained about the dilated ivc said nothing to worry about. I'll be 2 year's post op on the 13th February, hard to believe, I remember bn told about my BAV 4 years ago I was so upset and angry that I threw all my running gear away in the attic swore I was finished with them! Onwards and upwards 💪

Susan Lynn Congratulations on your 2 year anniversary! I don't know what a mildly dilated interior vena cava is, but a quick call to your cardiologist will probably put your mind to rest. Wishing you many more decades of anniversaries! ❤
