Well things have taken a turn and I was admitted to hospital on the 14th because my haemoglobin had gone down to 60 (6 for those elsewhere) and my iron was only 3. Needless to say I was feeling pretty crappy.
Its now the 19th and after 4 blood transfusions and an iron infusion and numerous tests my levels are back up. I have the results of one more test to come, which should be in tomorrow, before I will find out if I am stable enough for my surgery on Tuesday.
It was bad enough waiting before but it seems so much worse now. I have no idea if its going to happen and its scarey because they now tell me the severity is bordering on the critical level.
Sue Sanchez Grela Kim I am keeping you in prayer and hope you find comfort being cared for in the hospital ❤
Does anyone have any experience with Heyde's Syndrome? Or gastrointestinal bleeding before/after surgery?

Marie Myers Sounds like something for your doctors to explain. Hopefully you can get stabilized and get on with surgery. From what little I read about Heyde's syndrome, aortic valve replacement will be the treatment. Hope you are holding up under all the stress!

It is my hope that I can face this with the same strength of purpose. At the moment all I feel is the fear of having this surgery and the fear of not having it.

Marie Myers It has taken me the last 5 months to (somewhat) accept that this is happening to me... For me it is been a gradual process. And there are days that I take an anti anxiety pill because it "gets to me " now and then.. Bless you on your journey to peace and acceptance .
