Hello all, I'm looking forward to joining the community and leveraging our knowledge and experiences to stay positive and hopefully reduce stress.
Will be a bicuspid aortic valve replacement (ross is what I would prefer but apparently my anatomy is not a good fit) w cow valve, plus 1 or 2 CABGs. Scarry as heck.
Long story, bore you w it later perhaps, but my calcium score was 2900+ anyone else here in that ridiculous range?
Wishing everyone the best. Stay strong.

Fidel Martínez Ruiz Hey Larry and Dan: I had the mitral valve replaced (76 y.o) by a cow valve in october 2023. Doctors told me that when the valve wear out in 12 to 15 years will be possible to replace it in a "valve in valve" TMVR procedure to avoid open surgery. The good news for the aortic gang is that this "valve in valve" procedure in aortic possition (TAVR) is currently quite mastered by the surgeons (not so in mitral position, at least in Spain). It is a very good luck for you the aortics. Have a nice time.
