Fidel Martínez Ruiz Maria It will depend on the care you put in food, low in fat and salt, not too much sugar and alcoholic drinks, no much food with calcium (cheese). And an activ life, making a balanced excercise.The standard lifetime of a biological valve is 12 to 15 years, that could be well 20 years if you take care and have good luck. When it fails, it can be replaced ( perhaps in open surgery or with a "valve in valve", although I don't know very much on this procedure). Perhaps there is somebody that knows more on this type of surgery.
