Reghu's surgery went well . As everyone mentioned recovery is not easy. Reghu had air build up in between his lungs and the lungs got squeezed. They had to put a chest tube. Had some fever slightly getting better now. He has shooting pain below the shoulder bone on the right side. They are giving him pain killers to control the pain

Scott Ainsworth Thanks for the update Sindu! Thoughts and prayers for Reghu as I sit in hospital with continued complications from my mitral valve and double bypass in late March of this year. I can totally relate but I know even though it has hampered by recovery, I would still prefer to be recovering than going through the lead up and surgery again..... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Scott Ainsworth Hi Sindu, I have struggled since my valve replacement (March 2019) with AFIB and high heart rates. I had a Cardioversion a few weeks back and it worked for around a week, and this last week I have had Cardiac Ablation which has me feeling a million bucks. At all times I had kept monitoring my heart beat and informing my cardiologist and GP of changes and frustrations and together they found a solution that may just have fixed it. I was also told that some recoveries will take longer and it’s not uncommon after OHS to experience flutters or high heart rates for several weeks after the operation. Thoughts and paraders going out to Reghu and you.

We met the Surgeon finally today. The surgery is on May 17. Its going to be a Mini AVR or a full Depends is what the surgeon said. The surgeon does a few surgeries a day. I was scared to ask if it was all valve replacement. Anyways in Canada we don't have much choice. The surgeon sounded good and he said risks is 1- 3 %. My husband is okay and he is prepared for it. Its me who is worried. Thanks for all your kind words and positive response. Please keep us in your prayers.
