Adam Collins I know the feeling. I had no idea I had any sort of problem whatsoever, and then in May, my cardiologist told me I had a bad valve and needed to have open heart surgery to fix it before summer was over. I was shocked to say the least.
But in a way, I'm kind of glad everything happened so quickly. Otherwise, I just would have had more time to fret and worry about it.
I had my OHS on July 22nd this year, and all went well. Everyone told me that the waiting before surgery was more stressful than the surgery itself and the recovery, and in my case, they were right. Recovery hasn't been what I'd call fun, but I'm so glad to have the surgery behind me.

I am at this time in the waiting period but at least I have the 26 of November as the day Dr. Starnes will do my surgery and can’t wait to be on the recovery side. Susan Lynn Vince - Waiting is by far the worst part. Once you're on the recovery side, you're on the path to getting back to good health. Putting the surgery behind you is a great feeling and getting on with your life is even better! You can do this!
